Default vault with 1Password 8 for Mac

Really annoyed about this. I already deleted the 1password 7 app off my phone before realizing you removed the feature to pick your default vault in the 1password8 iOS app. (Also just realized it's gone from the Mac version as well. Why would you do this??!!)
I have a family membership, I absolutely need the default vault to be a shared vault of my choosing. This is a deal breaker for me. My membership renews in September, if it's not back by then, I'm gone.
