Disappointed in 1Password 8
Consider this constructive feedback...
I delayed upgrading to 1pwd 8 (from v7) mostly because it was no longer available on the Mac App Store. And, well, I'm basically disappointed after using 1pw...

2 years agoPlease try the following and see if it helps your experience.
Please shift from the center column to clicking the link in the 3rd or last pane. That should open and fill. You are correct. This is a change from 1Password 7.
It sounds like the login prompt is not in focus of something is pulling the focus away. 1Password is waiting till it has a clear indication of where to fill before doing so. If this is more than an occasionally site you might want to talk with our extensions team. Sites change themselves all the time. We may need to craft a special filling situation for that site. The team can assist you in gather the page details for submission.
You likely want to turn off Show 1Password on-field focus. I have turned this off in my browser for exactly the same reason you described. Here's how to do that:
- Right-click on the 1Password icon in the tool bar and select settings.
- Select Autofill & save.
- Turn off this option. "Show autofill suggestions when a form field is in focus."
- If you start typing, the results should be narrowed down to what you type. Does that help? If not, I can file a request to have the team consider alphabetical. I can't make any promises, but I can get your request out there.
