Hi 1P_Dave
Yes, I fully understand the party-line "1Password 7 is no longer supported and I don't recommend using it anymore." That was not my question.
You wrote: "In general, upgrading is not a one-way door."
My account is on 1Password.com, not stand-alone. So can I assume that based on this configuration, I should have no problem to downgrade should I try 1Password8?
I'm trying to keep an open mind, but not optimistic given the number of issues I read about in this forum for a product that is already 4-1/2 years old.
(FWIW, even Apple is capable of releasing an Upgrade that is actually a Downgrade in many ways. Look no further than the UI/UX nightmare that is macOS 26 Tahoe!)

22 days agoI just tested downgrading to 1Password 7 on my end and everything worked as expected on both macOS and iOS. That said, since 1Password 7 hasn’t been officially tested or updated in several years, there’s a chance you could run into issues. If anything does come up, though, feel free to let us know and we’ll be happy to help however we can.
