We still ask for a diagnostics report because, once 1Password runs into this situation, there are a few different paths forward to fix the issue depending on the exact nature of the problem. The diagnostics report gives our support team the information that they need to identify the right path to get a customer back to a working state.
Our developers have identified the root cause of the issue and are working on improvements so that it doesn't occur in the first place. 🙂
