I have upgraded to 1Password 8 for Mac. Yesterday I had to re-set my iPhone settings and since then I cannot use Face ID to open 1Password. I have re-installed the 1Password app, checked to make sure 1Password is approved for using Face ID on my phone. Can you advise?

This has been going on since goddamn July. Now Mac is falling apart too. What’s going on guys??

Maybe the developer on 1password SSH-agent moved over the iOS team - they love their incessant prompting over there - unless you have their exact workflow, exact device and exact setup (persistent terminal/tmux in ssh case), it is strange this iOS issue still isn't fixed - I suspect there is a reason but they just aren't sharing it due to shame - developer moved on? took a bet on different stack with less native integration? lost the source code?
I regret migrating from keepass-xc at this stage - it the whole 1passwordX vs 1password who-knows-what-but-we'll-get-there-soon mess the other year..

Maybe the fine folks at 1P use the Android version and don't realize what a colossal waste of time it is to have to throw in your 1P master password every single time you want to use it. That's the only thing I can think of considering (again) this has been going on since August and there are now 446 replies in this thread. I'm going to guess you've gotten 1 or 2 ;) diagnostic reports by now? Who knows maybe we will get a prorated subscription rate for all of this trouble.

I’ve been a long time supporter for 1Password, as a teen i used the k’ed version because we were broke, now as an adult i take pride in paying for this wonderfull software. However after resetting my iPhone X after three years of service i found myself in the possession of broken premium software. I think i dont have to explain how such a critical oversight would have been communicated in the open source realm! Good luck with debugging the problem 🤙🏼

I had to reset my iPhone 14 Pro, and now 1Password 8 will not take my FaceID. The FaceID popup does come up from the dynamic island, followed by a green check-mark in the popup when it gets accepted, then I'm prompted by 1Password to enter my password manually. Every. Single. Time. All my passwords for other apps etc. are very long and complex and stored in 1Password, so this is a showstopper in getting my phone back up and running. I've tried restarting my phone, disabling/enabling FaceID in the app, and deleting and reinstalling the app. Any suggestions before I change my 1Password master password to "123"?THIS HAPPENS IN 1PASSWORD 8 THE IOS APP. I AM RUNNING IOS 16.1.2 ON A BRAND NEW IPHONE 14

My problem started after i reset settings on my iPad. Something I will never do again, as it didn´t solve my problem (not related to 1Pass), but it gave me a whole lot of other issues like no notification in iMessage and more…. So today I was fed up, and restored my iPad (and phone), and now FaceID works in 1Password 8 on both 😁

I don’t think the developer left😃 So far 1PW 8 has worked perfectly for me on both my iPad Pro and iPhone. I had hesitated installing it till about a month ago because of the concerns I saw referred to here. There has been no Face ID issue. But I have never reset my settings on any iOS device ever. I don’t know why that would ever be done under any normal circumstances. But that seems to have triggered the issue which seems to be some problem between iOS and 1PW 8. Version 7 was also working properly for me which is why I had not bothered with 8 until recently. I could still revert to it if needed but so far that’s not necessary.

Curious, what is the real story here - did the 1password iOS v8 developer leave? Was it written in a different stack than 1password iOS v7?

So frustrated.
Every time I need to use the app for anything, I have to type in my lengthy password.
The app will then close after I use it for 1 auto fill and I have to start all over again for the next one.I get an error that says I have to type in my PW to use facial login so I do. And then it doesn’t.
