MacOS Application w/ Google Titan
I’ve added two Google Titan Security Keys (FIDO2 USB-C + NFC) to my 1Password account through the web, where they work fine.
However, on the Mac app, after entering my password I get the message:
“Tap your security key to finish signing in to your account”
When I insert and tap the key, nothing happens. No UI response and the sign in doesn’t complete.
From what I’ve seen online, others have had this issue for a while, but documentation suggests Titan keys should now work with 1Password. Can you confirm if FIDO2 security keys are currently supported in the Mac desktop app, and if so, what I can do to fix or test this?

Hi folks,
I believe I got the same problem, albeit with a different security key vendor/model.
macOS 26.2 (25C56)
MacBook Pro 16" M1 (2021)
1Password for Mac 8.11.22 (81122027)
Yubikey 5C NFC, firmware 5.7.1To add some context to this, so far I've had a single 1Password account at 1password.com. I'm trying to migrate my data to 1password.eu. So I registered a new account on the .eu instance and added two security keys through the web interface. When I try to add this account in the macOS app, I get the aforementioned issue with the missing native hardware key 2FA prompt.
Tried fully quitting and restarting 1Password (through the menu bar icon), as well as rebooting the computer itself, made no difference.
Already created a support ticket UIK-94715-286 with attached diagnostics report. Hope this helps :) This thread and my username are referenced there too.

Hello kezdev! 👋
I'm sorry that you're unable to authenticate 1Password for Mac using your Titan security key. Titan security keys are supported however we're aware of reports from a small number of users who are unable to use their security key with the desktop app on the Mac even though it works with the 1Password app on other devices and in the browser on the same Mac.
We're currently trying to collect more information about the issue since we haven't been able to reproduce it on our end, even when using the same model of security key as an affected user. Would you mind reproducing the issue again and then I'd like to ask you to create and share a 1Password diagnostics report from your Mac:
Send a diagnostics report (Mac)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com
