I wonder if there has been any movement on this search UI issue? It continues to bother me at least once a day.  😅

    There aren’t any new updates at this time. The issue is still in our backlog, though other work has taken priority for now. The team is continuing to keep an eye on it and we’ll share any progress as soon as we have it.

    As far as I can tell, this and other issues warrant a concerned and understanding reply from 1Password Dave, a vague comment that they're working on it and a forever trip to the memory hole. 1Password needs a real wake up on fixing issues that cause their customers pain and need to get on it. I'm about done and looking for alternatives after years of enjoying the software. Enough already.
