Feature Request: Password Generator

Yes, I've read the threads. Here's a recent one: https://1password.community/discussion/138894/how-to-generate-a-password

I cannot understand (truly - not being dramatic) why the 1Password app does not have a "generate password" button?

Please, product folks, add this simple button to the app. Better yet, for Mac, make it part of the drop-down menu when you click the 1Password button in the menu bar (no need even to open the full app).

You already have the code to do so in your browser extensions and on your website: https://1password.com/password-generator/

So why not include it in the app?

And before it is pointed out, yes, I know I can do this in the browser extensions (Chrome, Safari, etc.), but sometimes, it's easier to call up the app instead of a browser.

    Thanks for following up. We typically don't pre-announce features before they are released in order to avoid disappointing folks if a feature is delayed or cancelled.

    Keep an eye on our release notes, if the feature is released in the future that's where you'll see it mentioned first: 1Password Releases

    I'd also really like to see this feature, both in the Windows app and in the iOS app.

    I use it in mini frequently as well. 1PW removing this facility (as well as several other very unhelpful changes) in v8 is why I am still on version 7.

    I used this feature in 1Password mini with 1Password 7 daily! Please bring it back!
