Hi @acouzelis thanks for your reply. I can definitely understand your hesitance in regards to how and where your personal biometric data is stored. On that note, I wanted to share some good news. Per our January 30th blog post (linked below), I can confirm that we will be bringing PIN unlock to the mobile apps. We don't have a specific date as to when that will make it into an update but it is on the horizon! * Building a better, more useful 1Password (Also, I promise I'm not a bot 😁)

Thanks for the feedback all! A release went out today with some great new features such as search from item lists and one tap copy. I just wanted to share that PIN unlock did not make it in this release but it shouldn't be too much longer. Thanks in advance for your patience!

Hi @dmarcher, thanks for your feedback and patience while waiting for this feature. I'm happy to say that as of today, a device unlock setting is included with the 1Password for Android beta which includes the option for PIN unlock. Before updating I'd like to note that we've found a regression which causes Biometric unlock to be reset when updating to beta 8.10.9-29. So, keep in mind if you're using Biometric unlock your password will be required after the update. If you'd like to join the beta to try out this feature, you can find steps to do so in our guide: Use 1Password beta releases. Let us know if you have any questions of if there's anything we can help with.

Thanks @wobblestheduck I've passed on your desired to see the feature return to the rest of the team. At this time this is not an available feature in 1Password 8. ref: IDEA-I-1222

I'm wondering why so many useful, and sometimes essential, features have been removed in version 8? When I upgraded I assumed that these features would all still be present, along with improvements. I wasn't expecting them to have been removed.

It's been three months, is there an update regarding this? Or are we just never going to upgrade to version 8 again?

Yet another person here asking for the pin feature in version 8. I'll be removing 8 and using 7 until this feature exists. If you completely deprecate 7 without adding this feature to 8, I'll be looking for another password manager.

Thanks for clarifying that @5davee. I'm not too familiar with the App Store but I can see my colleague shared this for a similar question on the iOS side of the forum:

If you've downloaded 1Password 7 on your iPhone or iPad before, you can find it in your "Purchased" section in the App Store. Use the "Not on this iPhone/iPad" toggle to help find it.
