HI

Please can a feature be added to manage the browser auto lock, and to also have the ability to not lock the extension if i close my browser.

Regards

We have the Desktop App installed and unlocked, but it does not manage the browser only the Desktop app and Extension.

So this clearly does not work.

Thanks for the reply. Can you clarify what you mean by "it does not manage the browser only the Desktop app and Extension"? If you have the desktop app installed then 1Password in the browser should lock and unlock at the same time as the desktop app.

So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:

      1. Are you using a Windows PC or a Mac?
      2. What browser are you using?
      3. If you right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings then do you see a green dot in the browser settings page? Or a different coloured dot and an error message?

I look forward to hearing from you.

So if i browse to the 1Password URL and use the website to manage my employee vault, that has a separate setting that is not manageable on the admin console.

  • Hello rizwaangani! đź‘‹

Thank you for the question! You can already configure auto-lock for 1Password by following the steps in this guide: How to set 1Password to lock automatically

to also have the ability to not lock the extension if i close my browser.

I recommend that you install the 1Password desktop app, it has the ability to keep 1Password in the browser unlocked even when you close your browser (as long as the desktop app itself is unlocked): Download 1Password

Let me know if you have any questions.

Good call out! This would be a necessary feature for any browser not supported by the 1Password application, like Zen.

If a browser is supported, then the connection between the app and extension should keep it unlocked.
