Filling isn't working in 1Password for Safari on Mac

I note this thread is all about iOS, but I've had this problem for the last week with Safari on my macMini and it's making some websites so painful to login to.

The command -\ shortcut doesn't work, the little icon in the input - sometimes this can open a mini 1Password (that's locked even though it's already been unlocked) or maybe a drop-down of suggestions.

The behaviour is so inconsistent it's maddening.  

Passwords.app is looking better by the day.  About the only differentiator at this point is the ability to store other text and documents.

Please fix this.
