Firefox extension on Linux not connection to App with error: Desktop app port disconnected
Hello there,
I'm trying to make the Firefox ext working on my Linux,
The app is working correctly in the background, the icon is in the tray and it works as expected.
It seems the Firefox extension can't talk to the App, any idea why or ways to investigate ?
The app is launched at startup using a SystemD user service.
I'm running NixOS 22.05 with Wayland and Sway, Firefox is v107.0 (64-bit).
Here is the output from the console when running the extension:
š Initializing 1Password background.js:2:2358271
channel: stable
version: 2.3.8
build: 20221 (107.0)
browser: Firefox (107.0)
os: Linux () background.js:2:2358364
WASM: Initializing. Log Level: Info 1.js:1:5372
š« Looking for desktop app com.1password.1password background.js:2:2158945
š Finished initializing 1Password background.js:2:2359294
š¤ Sending <NmRequestAccounts> message to native core <2554168702> background.js:2:2160914
Desktop app port disconnected. Error: An unexpected error occurred background.js:2:2159334
š« Looking for desktop app com.1password.1password background.js:2:2158945
š¤ Sending <NmRequestAccounts> message to native core <2155416929>
And it goes on like this forever.
Beside not connecting to the App, the extension seems to work correctly.
I can provide further details if needed,
Thank you for your assistance,
Regards,

Hi xavp75, what unexpected behaviors are you seeing with the extension? Does it not unlock if the app is unlocked?
At this time, I'd like you to reproduce the issue and send over the following so we can take a closer look at what may be going on:
- The extension console log (updated and in line with the diagnostics report below): https://support.1password.com/cs/extension-console-log/
- A diagnostics report: https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/
