Folder Sync?

Until yesterday folder sync worked flawless since years, I have 1password 7.
Suddenly today it doesn't work anymore, and the only difference is that I have seen a little pop up with updated to version 7.9.8.30
For windows on windows 11

Now when I go in settings I can't find any folder sync settings anymore?
On Mac it is where it was.
Am I stupid or did you erase that feature?

1Password Version: 7.9.8.30

    Hi @whatswrongwithyou:

Version 7.9.830 of 1Password for Windows only changed the code signing certificate to resolve an issue we had with our code signing certificate and didn't make any changes to functionality.

With that said, the future of 1Password is focused solely on 1Password accounts, and 1Password 8 doesn't include support for standalone vaults. If that's a dealbreaker for you, I sincerely wish you the best when it comes to choosing a password management solution. Stay safe out there, and we'll be here if you'd like to give us another chance in the future.

I had to delete the folders fully and do it again.
Then it worked only one way, from windows to Mac god thanks.

NOW I CAN SWITCH TO ENPASS!

Which don't force in such shady ways to subscription, I loved your product once, but now I can say suddenly BYE BYE and never look back!!!
I was looking 2 years for an alternative, and now since serverl months they have Wlan Sync better then your in my opinion never finished an now killed wlan sync.

I bought 1password 4 times since 2014 and paid every time around 80€ now you lost me forever!

I have disabled and enabled the sync option, by choosing the same folder.
Still don't work, and the only thing which hast changed is like I said the update.
Really it worked, and I opened it got a update notice, did't that much about it.
But I opend it just only for saving something and right after it waiting to get synched.
But I didn't synch until today, I think I have to do it manually but that's stupid.
It worked like a day before the update, my gut feelings tell me that 1Password did something to break it.
To force the last standing people to buy 1Password 8, but I won't!

I do not recommend downgrading due to changed code signing certificate. But maybe previous installer getting re-signed with it.

You could first try to disable folder sync and then set it up again. This should be your first step. Because downgrading has a lot more steps and potential pitfalls.

But if you want to downgrade, the installers of previous versions are in the linked https://app-updates.agilebits.com/product_history/OPW6 next to the release date of an update.

You can try and run the installer over the current installed version, but it likely says that a newer version is already installed.

You can try to just uninstall the current version via Settings > Apps and then run the installer again. It could be, that the installer of the older version still says a newer version was installed.

If this is the case, then you have to delete the 1Password Folder in AppData/Local (as described https://support.1password.com/uninstall-1password/), which also includes https://support.1password.com/backups/.

Doing this would reset all settings, including Folder Sync, so you would have to set it up again anyways.

You might want to make a copy of the 1Password folder before deleting it, so you could copy it back if something is not as expected. Also make sure that you have a Backup of your Standalone Vault(s) outside of the 1Password folder.

Be sure you have access to your https://support.1password.com/secret-key/ if you use an 1Password membership, your https://support.1password.com/two-factor-authentication/ (if enabled) and, of course, your 1Password to unlock your vault(s).

With the instruction I could find it but I have only Disable Sync as option.
And with the version before it worked flawless, which was like a half year old from 2021.

    How can I downgrade?

According to the changelog there not has been a change to Folder Sync. https://app-updates.agilebits.com/product_history/OPW6

Have you followed the instructions detailed here?
    https://support.1password.com/cs/local-folder/

I'm sorry, I don't use 1PW 7, so I can only try and point to the official ressources.

From what you told, it could be that between you setting up Folder Sync and now looking into it, there might has been a change in where the setting is located.
