How can I demo 1Password to others?

Thank you for spreading the word about 1Password! ❤️

The best way to show off 1Password without revealing any of your own data is to create a new vault with demo items that don't contain any of your personal information: Create and share vaults

Then you can temporarily limit both the 1Password desktop app and the browser extension to only show that one vault. For the desktop app:

1. Open and unlock 1Password 8 for Mac.
2. Click your account or collection at the top of the sidebar and choose Create a Collection.
3. Give the collection a name and select the demo vault that you created.
4. Click Save Collection.
5. Switch to the new collection: Use collections to create custom groups of vaults

And for the browser extension:

1. Open your browser.
2. Right-click on the 1Password icon in the toolbar and click Settings.
3. Click on Accounts & Vaults.
4. De-select all but the demo vault that you created.

Once you're done demoing 1Password you can turn on the other vaults in both the desktop app and the browser extension and delete the demo vault. I hope that helps! 🙂
