How Safe From Hackers is 1Pass?

I never wanted to move to a cloud-based password storage system but you kinda forced us there with cloud managed passwords being the only way to get the best features (and to ensure a revenue stream for you).

I have to admit that I've always been reluctant to do this. And now, more reputable tech outlets are reporting that cloud-based password managers are the new golden goose for hackers.

Getting access to hundreds of thousands of passwords for critical systems like banking, health and property is very, very attractive.

New AI tools and encryption breaking technology (plus the ever present employee access risk) is an increasingly difficult threat to manage.

Would 1Password ever consider returning to a supported, on-device only password manager or are those days long gone?

As for the secret key, I don't have a safety deposit box and it seems it would be bad form to the store the key in 1Password. How am I supposed to keep it safe?

I did read the blog at https://blog.1password.com/how-1password-protects-your-data/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=22108402281&utm_content=728672511009&utm_term=1password&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAzba9BhBhEiwA7glbajBletVpTQ7IjVHEAE5-gJ8-JPqz1nT3KTQSL8ILoARs1dG5lXw4sRoCbG0QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
