How to figure out what version of 1Password I have on my computer

I've been on 1Password for some time and it has worked fine. One day I believe it asked me to up date my version. Which I did.. Now I get the message: "Couldn’t connect to 1Password. Either the helper is not running, or something is preventing it from communicating with the 1Password browser extension. Follow the simple steps on our support site or contact us." When I click on support site it asks me questions that need my version number to get going. I can sign into 1Password but I can't get it to fill in the UN and PW as it used to. I have to look them up on the 1Password list and fill them in by hand! Help please!
