I have a website that requires Username, Pin code and password. How can i store those in 1Password?

I understand the workaround and can operate this myself, it's just getting my older relative to use it is a challenge. I probably set this up manually I think, as I always have to get the URL exact because my relative uses these as bookmarks. So we have both a password and pin field saved. We just have to drag the PIN thankfully. He struggles with anything that requires 2 windows or even 2 tabs in Chrome. I will probably work with him all the time with this website.

Thanks for your message and sorry for the issues you've encountered with this noted webpage. We currently have a issue filed for websites and customers who are running into these types of situations.

I've done testing with this website and found that saving a new login will save the PIN as the password, but in a suggestion similar to the above, the actual password can be manually saved by editing the item in the app and selecting + add more > Password and entering the password to that new field:

Next, from that Login item in the 1Password 8 app, you can open the More options menu (⋮) at the top right of the item detail window and select the Open Item in a New Window option to drag and drop this added password field from this smaller, new window. Ctrl + O will also open this new window.

I've provide a quick demonstration below where I've filled the UserID and PIN with 1Password in the browser. Then, the manually added password becomes the second password and can dragged and dropped to the password field on the page, from the new 1Password item window:

I understand that this workaround is not ideal, but my hope is that by getting the details of this specific website to the team, they will be able to look into ways to help make this process better. We appreciate you reporting this!

FEMA has a login similar to this.

Of course the 'password generator' shows up in the second password field, prompting the user to change their password, which when doing so, you actually change etc first password in the database, then you have lost the old password in the database, until you go to the try to find the 'old passwords' section in 1password, but that isn't there anymore, so you have to log into the web version, because old passwords aren't important enough to put into the real programs, because 1password is so smart you won't have to ever look them up, yet here we are.....

And on the FEMA page, on my father's laptop, you can't do the drag/drop work around because there is so much white space in the 1Password programs, they are ginormous, and the 1Password extension popup covers up the second password field making the drop impossible.

So, FEMA of course made right clicking on things impossible, for security reasons I'm sure.... So we can't even right click paste the second password in. That means I have to teach my father control-v to paste, which I have been unsuccessfully working on for 20 years.

Solution, make second password 1234 and have him type it in.....

I think that this was easy in 1Password 4, when 1Password wasn't so smart.

This is something we're aware of when websites have multiple password type fields. I've added this site to our tracking issue, as well as your feedback. Hopefully we can improve your state of play here in the future. In the meantime, our recommendation would be to store your PIN in 1Password, and drag and drop from the pop-up after filling in your username and password. Thanks for reaching out!

Did this get resolved? If so, how? This seems to be a common pattern that would be helpful to know a solution.
