I have autolock set for idle 4 hrs yet have to unlock in browsers many, many times per day

Thanks for sharing. If the 1Password desktop app and 1Password in your browser are sharing a lock state, then 1Password in your browser should follow the auto-lock timer set by the 1Password desktop app. If they're not sharing a lock state however, then 1Password in your browser has its own lock timer.

As a quick test, if you manually lock either the 1Password desktop app or 1Password in your browser, does the other one lock? Let me know, and I can dig in further.
