iOS PayPal App no longer offering to autofill OTP code

The PayPal app, is somewhat the bane of my existence, requiring me to provide the OTP code every time I wish to login to it, even after authenticating with Face ID.

At some point in the past, 1Password would offer the OTP for my saved login on this screen within the app, and all was well with the world.

Recently, this has stopped, and I have no idea for the life of me why—I'm not entirely sure if it's a setting I've changed, a website removed from my PayPal login entry, a change in 1Password's app, a change in PayPal's app.

Is anyone else experiencing this, and/or know if there is some magic I'm missing within 1Password and my PayPal login entry?

I'm experiencing the very same issue, and I reached out to support and got an answer that they are aware of this issue, as users have reported it already. They have an internal ticket/issue open to track it.

The issue is caused by iOS 18.5. The 1Password app itself doesn't detect OTP codes in apps or web pages; it's done by iOS. Once the system detects an OTP field, it talks to the current password app to provide a code.

They told me that resolving the issue needs feedback from Apple, but they didn't say what the current status is or whether Apple has confirmed a bug. There are no timeframes for fixing the issue, as it all depends on when Apple will confirm and fix it.

That makes sense.  Thanks for the explanation.

At least I know it's nothing something I've fat fingered in a configuration somewhere.
