In other words: I search for an amazon password I edited and save data for that entry I search for a google password I click edit on that google password The edit window opens, but it's for the AMAZON password Actually lost a password to this today, and I'm kind of stunned. Was using both desktop and iphone versions (because I was transitioning from Authy to 1Password for 2fa and needed my phone's camera for the QR codes). Saved password on desktop and iphone for 1 item. Edited it on desktop. Switch to iPhone, searched a totally different item. Clicked edit, and it opened the PREVIOUS item. I couldn't choose to simply close. Had to "save" or "discard". Our developers are currently investigating an issue where tapping edit on an item in 1Password for iOS will open a previously edited item in certain cases. I'm having an issue where 1Password on iOS is opening the wrong item to edit on a regular basis. For example. -Let's say I've just edited the password for my Amazon account. I'm done, hit save, etc. -Then, I go to edit the password for my Google account. I open the item, hit the "edit" button. What opens is my Amazon item, in edit mode. This is a serious issue, as it's almost led me to change or delete passwords incorrectly if I don't notice that 1password opened the wrong account. Any tips? I have been having MAJOR issues with this for the last 3-4 weeks also! Took me a while to figure out what was happening so I've wiped out my OTP settings for 3 of my saved accounts without realising with no way to revert (I don't actually know which accounts two of them are)!! I'm not sure if it's documented but I am seeing two related behaviours: When you 'edit' an open item it ALWAYS opens the edit screen with the previous item you had open (which obviously could have been from days ago), not the one you actually had open and clicked edit on; When you tap an item in the vault list just to open an item about 50% OF THE TIME it opens the item you previously had open the same as the edit issue above. Very frustrating and shouldn't happen especially in this sort of app. It's only on iOS as I can see, not affecting my Windows or macOS apps. I may be misremembering but I thought 1PW had a change archive so you could restore changes? Or is this only for the password field? Anyway not being able to immediately revert the change in these cases when you realise it's edited the wrong item is also frustrating... EDIT: 1PW v.8.10.26 and iOS 17.3.1

menditto and Huuuze Thanks for the question. When you edit an item and the wrong item appears, tap on Cancel and then tap on Discard Changes. You might need to do this a couple times before all existing drafts are cleared. The fix will prevent new drafts from becoming stuck but it won't automatically remove drafts that were stuck before you updated to 1Password for iOS version 8.10.28. -Dave

This is still an issue on iOS & iPadOS. Ridiculous that it hasn’t been fixed yet. Click on an item to edit, do my edits, and then realize that it edited something different altogether. Sheesh.

When attempting to EDIT an item on the iPhone/iPad using the 1P app v8.10 I regularly encounter an irritating bug. While looking at the log-in item that needs to be edited I press the "Edit" button and suddenly I am looking at an entirely DIFFERENT log-in item (that normally bears zero connection to the intended item) open in the Edit mode. If I "Cancel" and re-attempt to edit the original intended item it works. What's going on here ?

I tried to explain tell them this in another post earlier.
I guess it takes more users before the ball gets rolling.
The edit thing happens with secure notes just like you guys say with logins as in a random fashion not every time.
When I try to make it happen to figure out what steps causes this I can not get it to happen, but if I do not try to make it happen it does own it’s on.
A bug for sure.

I’m having this as well. This bug is particularly frustrating as this isn’t anything new. This exact issue has popped up and was fixed in previous versions of 1P8.

This has happened to me twice now:
1. I go to an item I want to edit, usually by search
2. I click 'Edit', make my changes, then click 'Save' (once I changed the password, one time I changed Notes)
3. I find myself on a different item from the original one, but containing the changes I just made!
4. When I go back to the original item, it has no changes.
5. There seems to be no discernible "connection" between the two items.

This behavior may be related to the discussion thread "iOS: Tapping edit on an item will open a previously edited item in certain cases", but not sure.
