iPhone 12 app Face ID not accessing app

IPhone 12 I download it the one password 8 app and did all the necessary requirements to allow Face ID to access and open my 1Password 8 app it begins to scan my face but then it does not open the app on my iPhone I made sure that the security and facial recognition has access to the 1Password 8 app but still no luck
