Is master password required after changing face id/touch id?

I've heard of stolen iPhones where the thief acquires the phone already logged in, and will change face id to theirs to gain access to banking apps.

Under this scenario, will the 1Password app require manual login because face id has changed on iOS? If not, could that be a pathway to access 1Password?
