I have been busy and wanted to resurrect this thread for a while now. I thought maybe the issue was due to older Mac OS and/or Older Safari. I have asinine updated both. I am on an intel Mac and running Ventura 13.7.2 and its current Safari.
This issue constantly happens.
Let me articulate it. In a nutshell. The autosave function constantly fails to Allow me to Save a New or Existing Login. Clicking the Save button does nothing. Thus I have learned from my mistakes and NEVER use the suggested password showing in the field, since no way to copy it and if you submit you new login or new password change it can be lost and thus, never saved.
So, if I am on a site either to create a new login or update a password. I never use the suggested password showing in the field, since frequently I have an issue with Auto Save.
I click on the 1Password Safari extension. I see the "Generate Password" option. Learning from my mistakes with this issue, I always click "Copy" and then click the "Auto Fill". Once I submit the new login or password change. You get the Auto Save popup. I can click new or existing but many times I can't click Save. Either for New or Existing. The button does nothing. Thus, the only option I then have is to open 1Password and create a new login from scratch. Thus, manually entering in the login name, User Name and pasting in the copied Password.
If I reboot the computer the autosave works again and after a while it does not. Maybe an issue coming out of sleep or moving the computer between home and work and coming out of sleep. But.... This is a repeated issue and highly frustrating.
