Limit access to collections
This may be a duplicate of this discussion but seeing that it is four years old, I decided to start a new discussion, I hope that is okay. Maybe the functionality also exists, but from what I found it seems to still be an open point:
Upon connecting a new device (via scanning the QR code on my phone, but I suppose the login screen would look the same), I can decide whether to give full access or no access to the new device. It would be very convenient to be able to limit the access to predefined collections, and it seems like most functionality required for this is already there in some form: The login screen asking how much access to give, and the ability to only sync some vaults via travel mode. So this seems like a natural extension to add some convenience.
The prototypical use case would presumably be a single account that is used for work and personal life, where work vaults should not necessarily be synced to all personal devices, and personal items have no reason to end up on work devices. In particular in freelancing work or in science, where the distinction between work and personal devices is often not as sharp as in some other areas, I'd imagine this would be a common situation.
Another case where I would be nice to have are developer-related features, which may also include some logins to self-hosted services or whatever, that would only be required at home or on some dev machines and not every single device.
I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on this, or some pointer if I missed something!
