MacOS: Upon unlocking, 1Password app hides and moves to last place in app switcher
Hi! This is really weird. The past several weeks (months?) I've noticed on Mac OS that when: 1Password is locked I open the app Prompted for Touch ID, I provide my fingerprint 1Password unlocks ...

I have the exact same issue.
I open 1Password through Spotlight.
I'm referring to the main window. The app I used before opening 1Password comes to the foreground.

9 months agoI'm sorry that you're running into an issue where another app gets focused after opening 1Password. I haven't yet been able to reproduce the issue, can you tell me the following:
- Are you able to reproduce the issue over and over again reliably? Or does it only occur randomly and intermittently?
- Which version of macOS and 1Password are you using?
I look forward to hearing from you.

1. Yes, I can reliably and repeatedly reproduce the issue. It happens every time I unlock 1Password on Mac with the fingerprint. Interestingly, it doesn't happen when I enter the master password. But then, after I hit "enter" and it unlocks, the app prompts me to use my fingerprint as well.
2. I'm on Sonoma 14.2.1 and 1Password for Mac 8.10.70 (81070026).

Thanks for the reply. It looks like you're a few versions of macOS behind, can you update to macOS Sonoma 14.7.5 (the latest version at the time of writing)? macOS 15 Sequoia is also available.
If that doesn't help, or if you can't upgrade, then can you create a screen recording of the issue so that the team and I can try to reproduce it on our end? Send an email to support@1Password.com along with a link to this thread and the team can send you a secure upload link for the recording. Make sure that nothing sensitive is visible in the recording.

I am glad I am not the only one seeing this odd behavior! 😁
