Markdown WYSIWYG Editor
It would be nice to have a WYSIWYG editor in the notes section when typing in markdown, think like Obsidian. I would like to see this on all platforms, but I'm just noting it here since there wasn't...

3 years agoHello Jermany,
Thanks for your message. We don't have a specific feature request section for the 1Password Community, so posting here is great.
Currently, formatting your secure notes with Markdown is the best option. While I can't make any promises, I'd be happy to pass this suggestion along to the Product team for you. Would you mind providing some additional feedback?
1. What would having a WYSIWYG editor help to solve?
2. Can you provide some examples of how this could be used/implemented?
3. How do you solve this problem now?
Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hi ag_mike_dā, I'd like to revive this feature request since I have just been looking into something similar.
I use 1password to write sensitive notes in a secure storage location, including diaries and plans regarding finances, education etc for my family, and feedback/development/project process notes on a professional side. However when writing notes in pure markdown, it gets difficult to keep an overview since the markdown is only rendered when leaving the edit mode and returning to the normal "view" mode. Therefore while editing the notes, it's much more difficult to keep track of where I am and what I've written before.
If you take a look at the app found at obsidian.md, it uses a somehow integrated renderer that renders e.g. bold/italics text, bullet points, links while you are in "edit" mode, making it much easier to navigate.
Right now, the problem is sadly "solved" through pain - I write long md notes in 1password and save occasionally to see what I'm doing, then going back into the trenches. It's just not a very pleasant experience.
Hope this can make it to the app! I've been a happy user of 1password for over a decade by now, and I'm excited to continue using it as my daily password manager! :) Cheers!
