master password not working with Chrome

I have 1Password installed on a Mac Mini, an iPhone and a MacBook Air.

I haven't had to enter my master password on the Mini or iPhone for a few days and it's working fine on both. The Mini is on Sequoia 15.3 and the iPhone is on 18.3.  I use Chrome on all 3 devices.

Today, I updated the MacBook Air to Sequoia 15.3.  Afterwards, I had to login to 1Password but it's not accepting my master password.  I know my password by heart and tried several times.  This is using the Chrome extension.  Chrome version 133.0.6943.54.

I was able to do a workaround by installing the 1Password app on the MacBook Air.  I had my secret key and the activation accepted my master password.  I was able to set it up to use my fingerprint for access and that process also required and accepted my master password.  The extension is now active and it didn't require a new login.  So, other activities on the Air accepted my master password, the only problem was with the Chrome extension originally.

I was also able to set up the 1Password extension on Safari on the MacBook Air.  It accepted my master password without an issue.

I'm still concerned why my master password wasn't originally accepted by the Chrome extension on the MacBook Air,  There was more than a moment of panic when I considered the possibility my account had been hijacked.

Any ideas?

One followup question.  If my 1Password account had been hijacked, and the master password changed on the MacBook Air,  would the active extensions on the iPhone and Mac Mini also be immediately impacted or would the fact they were currently active mean they would stay active until X number of days had passed and a new login was required?

Thanks.
