More Apple Watch stuff

Looked through the threads here but didn't find any resolution - some recent indications of contact to developers about problems unlike mine but nothing since.

Situation:  Apple Watch working fine to unlock 1PW from Safari extension.  Suddenly, not working.  Window in which Watch double-click option would appear pops up but with no Watch option (just password entry) then immediately disappears.

All items in "help" section check out.

What next?

  • Hello AllUserNamesInUse! 👋

I'm sorry that you're unable to unlock 1Password using your Apple Watch. As a start, can you check if you're using the Sleep Focus mode: Set up a Focus on Mac

If you're using the Sleep Focus then choose a different focus (like "Do Not Disturb") and then try to unlock 1Password again. If that doesn't work then can you tell me:

    1. Are you able to unlock the Mac itself using your Apple Watch?
    2. What version of 1Password is installed: Find the version numbers for 1Password and your operating system

Thanks for suggestion 1, Dave.  I have never used the unlock Mac feature.  The option is turned on yet I never got a prompt on my watch to log in (unlock) nor did the Mac provide that as an option (only password).  It has been this way since I got my watch but the option to unlock 1PW always appeared until recently.  I figured I'd better address suggestion 1.  I spent about an hour reading Apple support threads on watch/mac connections.  It is a massive rabbit hole encompassing Bluetooth (which is itself an even deeper rabbit hole and a red herring), network particulars, signing in/out of iCloud, and changing settings followed by sequential restarts.  I followed the recommendations that made sense and still no prompt on my watch to unlock the Mac nor an indication on the Mac that the option exists.  However, some magic took place because the prompt for 1PW on the watch has reappeared.  Go figure. I'd inquire with Apple about this but unfortunatley my watch is more than one year old ;-)

Sorry Dave - forgot to put this in the initial reply - if I can unlock 1PW with my watch, shouldn't I be able to do this with my phone?  Does this feature exist?  If no, could it be added to the developer list?
