Must I exclusively use 1password once password saved

I am confused about the use of 1password. It seems that once I save a password in 1password that I have difficulty signing in to that site with my original password that I have always used.

In addition, how do I change by entry password ?

    Indeed you've touched on the idea of how 1Password works. Remembering your one password is all you need to do, then you rely on the various 1Password apps and extensions to save and fill your information: Saving, filling, and changing your passwords
