From your description, it sounds like you’re a family member in a frozen family account, not a family organizer, and that you’d like to move your existing items to a new account. If that’s the case I would suggest moving your items to a new account directly rather than exporting/importing. If you’re in a different situation let me know, as the steps may vary.
I’d recommend following these steps on a computer where you’re using 1Password for Mac, Windows, or Linux already. If you’re unsure about anything, or you’d like a hand diving in deeper to any specifics, please feel free to contact the support team at support@1password.com
- Create a new account on 1Password.com.
* I would suggest having the Emergency Kit and account credentials for both accounts on hand.
- Add your new account to a 1Password app.
- Move or copy your existing items in the old account to the new account.
- Sign into your new account on 1Password.com and confirm your items are now all available there. If your items aren't available stop here!
- Sign out of your old account anywhere you use 1Password.
