New Browser extension comment

Hi,

Just wanted to comment on something that I find annoying in the new browser extension.

It ALWAYS uses the term "Sign in", yet I have the option to auto submit disabled therefore, it's not signing me in, but auto filling.

I feel that if a user has the auto submit option disabled (like me), the wording should be changed to say "Auto fill" or something similar to actually indicate what will actually happen.

Otherwise it's just misleading.

  • Hi rctneil thanks for getting back to us with that screenshot!

I can definitely see how having the UI for the new USO overlay say "Autofill" instead of "Sign in" to indicate if you have the "Sign in automatically after autofill" option disabled could be useful and so I've submitted a feature request on your behalf to our Product team.

While I can't guarantee if or when this feature will be implemented, you can make sure you have access to any new features or fixes as soon as they're available by making sure you have 1Password set to update automatically. You can also check out our releases page for any updates across all of our platforms:

Let me know if you have any questions or if you think of any additional info you'd like to add to the feature request.

I have the extension configured so that when I choose an item, it autofills the form, but DOES NOT auto submit the form to do the sign in.

If that option is enabled then the button on the new extension UI should say "Auto fill" instead of "Sign in", as that more clearly indicates what will happen when the button is clicked.

      Hi rctneil,

Apologies for the delay! I'd be happy to share this feedback with the team. To ensure I'm doing so accurately, would you be able to attach a screenshot of the specific prompt that you're referring to? Be sure not to include any private information like email addresses or passwords in the screenshot.
