"Open and Fill" doesn't work

The "Open and Fill" button (on website fields) doesn't work if the URL is a domain only (e.g. "https://login.apple.com%22), but works if the URL contains a path (e.g. "https://login.apple.com/login%2...

I agree this is a step backward. The new shortcuts do not work as expected. I can no longer use the shortcut, type the website, hit enter, and have it open the website and fill in the password. Beyond me why they would change this behavior. For the first time, I may be looking at other password managers.
