Thank you for the reply. You're correct that the same behaviour can be seen in 1Password mini and I've added your report to the internal work item for the issue. As mentioned, the password saved and the password copied to the clipboard should be the same in both the classic extension and 1Password mini, only the password that is visually displayed is different.
If that were to be the case, I am hopeful it could still have a chance of being fixed?
With the launch of 1Password 8 for Mac, 1Password 7 for Mac is no longer supported and will only receive important security updates. We recommend that you update to 1Password 8 as soon as you can.
To be honest, as someone who has used 1Password since version 3, I have a very hard time wrapping my head around the workflow of the new extension, which I can basically preview on Safari, even while on 1Password 7. I know you have a basic video on it, but it's nowhere near detailed enough for those of us used to the old way of doing things. :)
I'm sorry that you ran into trouble when trying 1Password for Safari. Can you tell me a little more about the difficulties that you ran into when using 1Password for Safari? I would be happy to help. This guide explains how to use 1Password in the browser in some more detail:
