I get to the password generator in the menu in the Safari extension

What about if you are need to generate a password for an application like Quicken? In this mode, the browser may not be open but the small app window is. I know, I can just open the browser. But this will entail extra steps I'd prefer to avoid.

You can generate a password in the app. I often use if I’m doing something without the browser.

oh yes I know, I've been using password generators since the dawn of time! But it's MUCH easier to generate a password when inside the "create new password" box rather than having to go out of the form and into the app or extension. And, as mentioned, there is already some minimal 1Password functionality as a right-click inside that box - just not the one you need, which is password generator. LastPass did it better (even if they did some things not so well).
