password needed each time on iMac desktop, Work around with 2FA?

On LastPass, I was able to use an authenticator on my iPhone to log into LP, (without password). Can this be done with 1PW?

    Hi there @Wadley

If you have two-factor authentication turned on for your 1Password account, it's used as an extra layer of protection when signing in for the first time on a new device or browser. A one-time password generated by an authenticator app isn't able to decrypt your 1Password data on your Mac – it's only used to check that you are who you say you are (authentication) when signing in.

All of your 1Password data is kept fully encrypted on your Mac's disk, so you'll need to use your account password to unlock it. To help with this, you have some options to explore:

I hope that answers your question fully, but please do let me know if I can be of any further help. :)
