PHONE to computer NO secret key

i have 1password on my iphone. i installed it on my mac computer, and then i ONLY Needed to enter my password NOT my secret key. I thought that anyone who had my password could not get in without m...

does this mean if i loose my secret key, as long as i am logging into a mac, i dont need it?
