Problem connecting the Mac desktop app to the Chrome browser extension

I am unable to connect my Mac desktop app to my Chrome browser extension and I can't find anything in the community discussion board to help. Mac: MacBook Air 2017 running Monterey v. 12.7.6. ...

Not sure if related, but I just submitted a ticket for a similar issue on Sidekick which is also Chromium-based, wanted to add my ticket here in case it might be something Chromium-related: [#PCZ-49336-828] cc 1P_David​
