I'm sorry that you're both experiencing trouble with app integration. Can each of you reproduce the behaviour on your device and send over some diagnostics, so that we can take a closer look:

Please attach the files to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com
with a link to this thread, and include your username in the message. After sending the email, you’ll receive a reply from our friendly support assistant with a Support ID that looks something like [#ABC-12345-678]. Post that here, and I’ll be able to locate your message and make sure it’s gotten to the right place.
As a side note, I should mention that Google Chrome is a supported browser, so it does not need to be added as an additional browser under "Connect to additional browsers". This feature is for users who want to authorize an unsupported browser to connect with the 1Password for Mac desktop app.
