Problem connecting the Mac desktop app to the Chrome browser extension

I am unable to connect my Mac desktop app to my Chrome browser extension and I can't find anything in the community discussion board to help. Mac: MacBook Air 2017 running Monterey v. 12.7.6. ...

@david.m_1P 1P_David fyi - I submitted the app and extension diagnostic reports for my version of the issue to 1Password support.

My ticket ID is VXQ-11689-832
