Problem with my business website when 1password chrome extension is on
I am trying to access my own personal website from the web address www.scotthamptoncomposer.com which forwards to exaltron.com/scotthampton. I can access the latter directly but when I try to click on www.scotthamptoncomposer.com with the chrome extension enabled, I get a "site can't be accessed" error. This only happens when the 1password chrome extension is enabled.
There are no passwords required to access my site, so I'm unclear what specifically about this site or the forwarding address is incompatible with 1password, but I need to ensure that my site will not give a 404 error for other users with the extension installed.

Hello exaltron, thank you for writing in.
Just to confirm, are you referring to the "Open and Fill" button beside the website URL in 1Password? If so, this is occurring because the website uses (HTTP) instead of (HTTPS) and 1Password opens URLs to HTTPS by default. The same error occurs when directly navigating to https://www.scotthamptoncomposer.com/.
Therefore, I can suggest editing your Login item's website URL to specify the exact protocol:
http://scotthamptoncomposer.com
- Open and unlock 1Password.
- Locate your Login item and click "edit".
- Change the website URL to
http://scotthamptoncomposer.com
and click "Save".
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions; I look forward to your reply.

OK thanks, I think I understand. Even though my main website has SSL, the forwarding address does not. That is likely what is causing the issue with the website appearing to be unavailable. I appreciate the fix that will work on my end but unfortunately I will have to address the SSL issue as that will likely cause problems for any visitors to my website with similar extensions installed.
