"Read-only mode. Click here to buy"

I bought the full version of 1password a long time ago for Mac. I am not sure when, but probably 10 years or more. About 2 days ago I started getting this message at the top of my screen and have lost functionality. When I click the link it says 1Password is damaged and i have to re-download from Mac App store. I am not entirely sure that's where I bought it.

How do I correct it? Thanks
