REQUEST: Would you please add option to restore previous search method?
Hi 1Password team ...
I've been a 1P user for quite a few years. I have to be honest and say the massive GUI overhaul in V8 is not something I am taking to. I'd say I am simply putting up with it, and accepting it, whilst preferring the way it was before. So I join those who are not fond of it.
One thing that would be very helpful is if you'd please add a Preference for restoring the old search behaviour. I have a few thousand passwords, and it is very rare that what I plug into the search tool will bring up the correct result in the suggested results. I almost always need to bring up all results, and manually look for the item I am searching for.
So I find it troublesome that hitting the return key is now taking me to one particularly suggested item. That's simply not how pretty much any other search tool in Mac works. So it's not at all intuitive for me, and having to hit cmd-Return is a nuissance.
Would you please consider at least adding in a Preference setting to restore the search to how it was before? Namely, hitting Return will take the user to a list of search results. A simply switch would do ... so the user can switch between whether it's cmd-Return to jump to the suggested item, or whether Return does that, and vice versa.
The other thing I'd like to suggest is restoring the means to search particular fields. I was previously able to access that by clicking the magnifying glass in the search tool. Now it seems there's no way to search specific fields. With thousands of passwords and accounts to manage, I quite often needed to resort to using that feature.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks very much ...
Jonathan
