safari window - 1P comes to foreground

While in safari, if I open a new window (apple-N) the new window opens but the active app becomes 1P instead of remaining Safari. As a consequence, apple-L and other keyboard keys don't work until I ...

  1. Open the 1Password app on your desktop.
  2. Click 1Password in the Mac menu bar, then select Settings.
