Search for a login using a specific password

I received notice a password was breached but no information was available for the website that was breached. Given that I have the password (unique and created by 1Password) how do I search to find the login that uses this password. (I reviewed all the past inquiries about this and none of the past solutions appear to work). I guess it's possible I've already replaced the password (does the system also search the history?). Given the number of breaches, it seems to me that the ability to fond a login based solely upon the password is an important feature.

    Hi there USANigel

Although you can just search for that password in the Search box in 1Password, this is something that Watchtower is best suited to.

    You mentioned:

I guess it's possible I've already replaced the password

It is! Sadly we do hear about these third-party services who provide (in my opinion) rather lacking breach reports, without telling you where they're for, or when they're from, or the associated username, or anything genuinely useful. Without that information, they're not much help.

Watchtower is run in real time on your items as they stand right now, so if you've already changed a vulnerable password, then Watchtower won't flag it because you've already taken action on it. It's a much better way of understanding the current security landscape of your items, so I would strongly recommend you go through Watchtower instead.

ā˜ž Use Watchtower to find account details you need to change

Click the šŸ° Watchtower tab in the sidebar, and you'll see any items which have actionable security issues.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or would like any further help. :)
