Selected collection resets to Account level (1P 8.12.8 for iOS)
Hi, I’m experiencing a bug where the collection in the main app view (not the Autofill selection, that’s a separate bug) resets to Account level when returning to the app under some circumstances.
It started in one of the recent updates, not sure which one. Currently I’m on 1Password 8.12.8 on two different iPhones. Re-installing the 1Password app did not solve it. I’m only logged in to one account, with no shared vaults. The security settings are set to “Strict”.

1P_Gem The bug happens if I leave 1Password and return maybe 5–10 minutes later.
I found a case where it does NOT happen: I leave 1Password, lock my iPhone, unlock iPhone and immediately return to 1Password. The selected collection is then preserved. So maybe the bug has something to do with 1Password being ejected from RAM.
Additional info: my two iPhones are running iOS 26.4 and iOS 18.7.7, respectively.

Hi iridium9, thanks for taking the time to report this.
I understand that since a recent update, the selected collection resets back to the account level when returning to 1Password for iOS under some circumstances.
Would you be able to give us any more detail on the circumstances that can cause it to reset, such as any steps you were taking at the time, so we can try to reproduce it on our end?
