Settings for easiest login to 1P?s
I have two PCs, both running Windows 11, both using Chrome. One is a laptop with a camera, the other is a desktop without a camera.
What settings in Windows and 1P will will allow me to log into 1Password once using my Master Password and have 1Password unlocked when I subsequently boot up and open Windows? Note that I now use Windows Hello on both the laptop (camera) and desktop (PIN).
I am aware that what I'm asking for does not provide maximum security, but both PCs are in a secure location and turned off when not in use.
Thanks for any help with this.

Hi JohnInCA, thanks for your question!
While 1Password can be set to automatically unlock when you sign in to Windows using the Unlock with device setting, this only works after the PC is locked or put to sleep, not after a full restart.
At the moment, there isn't a way for 1Password to automatically unlock after you unlock Windows following a restart. However, you can make unlocking a bit quicker by enabling Windows Hello unlock with the TPM. This lets you unlock the 1Password desktop app and browser extension using any available Windows Hello method (face, fingerprint, or PIN) instead of your account password, even after a restart. I've included the steps for this below:
1. Make sure Windows Hello is set up with your chosen unlock options: Configure Windows Hello - Microsoft Support
2. Press the Windows key on your keyboard, type 1Password and click on it.
3. Unlock with your usual credentials if prompted.
4. In the top left, next to the word 1Password, click ⋮ > Settings > Security.
5. Enable the option to Unlock using Windows Hello.
6. Enable the option to Use your device's Trusted Platform Module to unlock.
* If you have Unlock with device turned on, you'll need to switch that off first.
7. Quit the app when prompted, then reopen it.
8. Enter your account password, and approve the Windows Hello prompt that follows, in order to complete the setup process.
9. Go back into Settings > Security, and adjust the option to Require account password: to your preferred interval.
* As long as you've followed the above steps correctly, you should see a list of options from Every day to Never.I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any further questions!
