Specific Autofill Issue with Proton Mail and we browsers

Hi

All my interactions work except for this one. The site is Protom Mail login, and the browser is safari although I have used brave too. 

When I auto fill the password it adds  a display username to the end, if I copy the same password from the same entry from 1p and paste it, all goes well. 

example of what autofill does

<password><space><display name for email>

The above obviously wont work as proven by copy and paste. What I dont understand is where the *** its getting the extra from? It's not in the password why would it fill it in there? 

Can you give some support to resolve this please, Families subriber.

    I am able to replicate at will with Safari on OSX. However when I use the same entry in IOS devices it's fine, copy and paste fine, just Safari on OSX or Brave or any thing using 1Password browser extensions on the OSX device. 

    Its this one entry only, Create a new entry works fine. But I have to transfer a lot fo stuff like one time passwords to it. 

    I tried reinstalling the 1password for safari extension even fully uninstall and reinstall, no difference. 

    The text appearing after the password is not present on the 1password entry anywhere. 

    I will try and switch to a new entry but this is a very troubling and annoying issue

      It sounds like the issue is specific to that one item, which means that reinstalling 1Password isn't going to resolve the issue. The fastest option is creating a new item and manually adding the information to the new Login item. 

      That being said, if you send an email to support@1Password.com, along with a link to this thread, then our support team would be happy to investigate further by asking you for some more information about the item. After emailing in, you'll receive a reply from BitBot, our friendly robot assistant with a Support ID that looks something like [#ABC-12345-678].     I'm sorry that you're running into an autofill issue on Proton Mail's website. I've just tested in Safari on my end and I'm unable to reproduce the same issue. Can you tell me the following:

    1. If you open your Login item for ProtonMail in the 1Password app, do you see any other password or custom fields aside from the default username and password field at the top of item?
    2. If you manually create a new Login item for Proton Mail with your correct credentials and fill the new Login item, does the same issue occur?
