Stand Alone Password Generator In App?
I just started using 1P again
In old versions, a password generator allowed you to copy that to your clipboard.
Is that no longer available in the apps as a stand-alone feature?
Yes, I know how it works when signing up on a website,
I just want to generate a random password as before.

Hello Uhnnohn! 👋
Thank you for the question! You can use the 1Password for Android app to create a new Password item and generate and save a password that you can then copy to your clipboard: Get to know 1Password for Android
I hope that helps! 🙂

I do NOT want to create anything new in 1 Password
I want to have the app ONLY generate a new password that I can copyLike the really old system had

Thank you for the reply. Is there a particular reason why you'd want to generate a password but not save it in 1Password? Let me know your particular use case and I can file a feature request with our product team to have them look into building such a feature in 1Password 8 for Android. 🙂

Yes! In every similar post like this you ask this same question! Lots of people want this feature! It is a feature you had before and took away! Why is that so hard to understand?! You are allowed to add a feature without having to understand every use-case for that feature!
Sometimes I need to generate a password to save in a different system. Sometimes I need to generate a password for someone else that they will save in their own system. Sometimes I want to generate a password and I feel like writing it down. Sometimes I need to generate a temporary password.
I used to be able to do this by just clicking the 1Password mini icon in my menubar.
Now I have to go to your browser extension or create an entirely new login in the 1Password app. This is not as easy!
Why is it so hard to add a generate password item to the menubar icon?! Why do you fight so hard against this in every post?!
I have added a link to bitwarden's password generator in my dock because it is faster than using 1Password to generate a password now (and because it is better than 1Password's own online password generator), which is just sad.
