a) what's wrong with Enpass/why are you thinking "I should have stuck with 1P"? b) just start using 1P again and either edit the existing passwords for the changes or just log into the new sites with your new info and let 1P build the new entries.

@tlance You can also use the enpass converter available in the https://1password.community/discussion/101693/moving-to-1password-from-another-password-manager. You'll want to export as JSON, but the README will guide you through the process. The converter will produce a 1PIF, but you will need 1Password 7 to import that, as version 8 does not yet import. So you can temporarily install 1Password 7 and import. I'm assuming you have a 1Password account; your entries will sync, and they will be available to 1Password 8.

I got a great deal on a lifetime license and took it just because I could and was curious. Rhetorical questions, by the way. ;) And to be clear, I make great use of backups including using TimeMachine on each computer so getting v7 isn't an issue. Having to do so is.

Being the lazy SOB that I am I just started with 1P v8 where I left off and when the "new" logins were needed just fired up Enpass and copied/pasted creds into site/forum/whatever and then added to 1P. When a tech support guy (now retired) one of my mantras was "sometimes lo-tech is best". :D

yes. But to move to v8 you had to be on subscription, so if you're not on subscription you never moved to v8 in the first place.

people seem to be so wracked with anxiety about going back to 1P7--all this talk about "I have it on my Time Machine backup," "I carefully zipped it up and stuck it away," etc.

When I decided it was time to move back to 1P7, I simply came here and downloaded v7 straight from the horse's mouth.

It's not like it completely disappears from the world when you upgrade to v8.

And all you have to do is run the installer. Voila. v8 is gone, v7 is there, and it all works.
