Support for Zen Browser
Hello Community,
I would like to see the support for the Zen Browser but unfortunately when I install the extension it does not connect to my desktop app.
I know for macOS and Linux there is a kind of "fix" for it but unfortunately I have Windows. What about support that finally works?
Zen Browser is not unknown and the source code is publicly available unlike other browsers.

Hello benzorich! 👋
We hope to build a secure way to use unsupported browsers like Zen Browser with the 1Password for Windows desktop app and I've let the team know that you're eager to see this feature be introduced. Thank you for the feedback!

Same I am really disappointed in 1Password. All they do is keep promising something similar is coming to Windows. We are waiting for years now, and I think they keep us waiting for many more years.
I am testing other password tools like Bitwarden or Proton Pass recently, because I have given up on this feature ever coming to Windows.

Hi Dave,
within your latest podcast you said, that you're not working on other browser implementations.
Here you say the opposite. what is true?

Thanks for reaching out! We're not currently adding new supported browsers since that isn't a long-term and sustainable solution. We've built a custom browsers feature that allows you to use unsupported and unvetted browsers of your choice with the 1Password for Mac app and the team hopes to build a similar feature for other platforms like Windows in the future.

Hello Dave,
Thanks for the information. I hope this function will come!

I've honestly lost hope that this feature will ever make it Windows. It's been on Mac for at least 2 years. As a 1Password user since 2007, I'm quite disappointed. I'm really hope we hear something about this feature soon, its been basically radio silence with no indication what the hold up is. It's possible to share updates on a feature's progress without making false promises.
